Dutch Oven Blueberry Cobbler

This fruit cobbler is simple to prepare, and is a great camp meal dessert, or even breakfast!


One can of blueberry pie filling.

One box of yellow cake mix.

One can/bottle of lemon-lime soda.


Pour the pie filling into bottom of dutch oven.  Use a spoon to spread evenly.

Pour the yellow cake mix over the pie filling.

Pour the lemon-lime soda over the cake mix.  Do not stir.

Place the dutch oven on hot coals, and put some coals on the lid.

Rotate the dutch oven 90* every ten minutes to ensure even cooking.

Check the contents after 25-30 minutes to view progress.  Surface should appear dry/crumbly.  If not, resume cooking an additional ten minutes.

Note: use caution when opening the lid; hot steam may burn you.
